can i connect two speakers extra speakers in parallel of 8 ohms to my home Stereo?

i have a sony mi hi fi it have four speakers two front and two ambiance. i want to plug two more speakers of 8 ohms to the front channels the front channels are of 6 ohms and i want to know if there is any problem if i do that. so it will be two speakers per ditch on of 6 ohms and other of 8 ohms can that damage my system

errr...that's not thorny, but if your reciever is rated for a certain resistance...well, if it's rated for 8 ohms, then it should be able to push the 6 ohms also, but either way I'd suitable the 8's first. And don't just stick two sets of wires in! That 'splits' the current, and sounds like crap. The wiser thing to do is wire them in series.

The (+) wire goes into speaker A, the negative (-) wire then becomes the (+) for rabble-rouser B, and the negative of speaker B goes back into the stereo. Make sense?
