Why do images of same resolution vary in size even when they are captured by same camera?

Say an symbol of 1MegaPixel is taken by a camera,the camera stores 3 bytes for each pixel,then 3MegaByte shud be the place used by it wen stored.But it is not so,the image size varies over a huge range.What is the reason??

This depends on how much color and detail is in each photograph. The more poop in the photograph the larger the file size.
As an example take a picture of a plain white wall then put someone in front of it and take the embodiment again. You will see a large difference in the file size.

This shouldn't be unless you accidentally had it set to out of the ordinary MP.
Normally speaking, all photos taken with one camera set at one resolution should all be the same size.
