Why is my panasonic battery dying so quickly?

I recently purchased a second-hand (but in good condition) Panasonic AG-DVX 100a that came with its own batteries.

The first time I used the camera was for a job. The battery was fully charged when about ten minutes later the battery good died!

Now I know that these batteries are supposed to last for about 90 minutes, so what is going on? Do I need to buy a new battery or is it the camera?

you said "toughened" but in good condition ... here's a probable explanation ... batteries, we're talking rechargeable ones ... have (whether we like or not, subsistence expectancies) ... the camera may be good but if the battery is "old", then it may appear fully charged up when you saturate it but it has only a very short like span.

you may have to get your panasonic a new battery for that matter. hope that helps you out ..
