Say I had full coverage or something, and they got stolen

1)   That depends on what specimen of insurance you have and what happened to them. If you have liability coverage, no. However, if you have comprehensive coverage that includes theft, it is possible.

If they are stolen, a complete plan that has provisions for theft and break-ins may cover them. But, if they were damaged or broken (say you blew them) they will not be covered. Security does not cover equipment failure or repairs. That is the place of a warranty. - Headtater

I'm with Desjardins here in Ontario. They cover up to $1500 for the loss of a stereo. If you stereo is worth more than that, you have to censure your insurance company about the "Additional Mods" on your vehicle and your rates will be adjusted give to cover the total value of your stereo.

Your best bet is to call and find out. It changes from company to company. - Mike L

5)   It categorically depends on who your coverage is through. I had my whole system stolen and AAA replaced everything as long as it was mounted. 2 Amps 2 subs and a Deck. All it had to do was old-fashioned inspection that everything was mounted.

There was no $ limit either. $500-5000 they would have covered it completly. - Joe
